Thea came home with a bowl full of whiny. My thought was ARE YOU CRAZY???? Its Christmas time. That should be a dead give away for good behavior. Its the only time of year I can bribe my kids for good behavior without guilt. So Thea was in full swing with the whine, stubborn, ignoring me. She was in her read-head prime. I have learned that ignoring is better than negotiating, bribing, threatening. So as I am buzzing around doing all the things moms do in the afternoon, I turn around and POOF. Passed out at the kitchen table surrounded by homework, laundry, and Tyler having a piano lesson in the other room. SO I took off my 'Ignoring' mommy hat and dug out my compassionate one. My baby was tired.. Now it all makes sense.
