Tyler has been wanting to play football for 2 years, but we held out until he was a little bit older. Well, as an intro he went to The University of Utah's football camp this summer with his cousin Zach. The first day was great he LOVED it. The next day he was moved up to the next level - got banged around a little bit more by the bigger kids. Apparently he stormed off the field threw down his helmet and yelled, "THIS SUCKS! Why did you sign me up for something that I would get hurt at?" Yes, proud parenting moment. All this was in front of his grandparents, aunt and uncle and other parents. Do you scold for the inappropriate language? Comfort for the obvious frustration and pain he was feeling from being banged around? Or just laugh you head off?? Who knows! The next day was a better. But Tyler was NOT interested in playing Sharks and Minnows football style anymore!
