Got a text first thing this monring from Samantha that they she will  be released a day early. So Friday by noon instead of Saturday. YEAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! So we had to hurry change, pack up the hotel room, grab food and leave for the hospital.
The ladies are all cleaned up and ready to go home!
At the hospital the nurses, social workers, and doctors are so kind to us. Tatum is held in the NICU for security reasons. On her name card it says BUFA (Baby up for Adoption) I think it irritates Samantha because she doesn't want any negative stigma, but we felt none. We had to have our driver's licenses on file, be authorized by the hospital social worker. Its pretty locked down. We had to be buzzed into the nursery just to hold her. Unless Samantha has her brought to her room. We spent a lot of time in the nursery while Samantha was resting or showering. I am so thankful for my healthy babies. We were in the intermediate unit (babies who were out of danger but still had some issues and just needed to grow). We are so fortunate to have healthy babies.
After more paper work instructions on how to feed, diaper, care for her....um yeah, I got it! We were all discharged. From the hospital we went to a notary for Samantha to sign Tatum into our temporary custody. Samantha cannot sign final paperwork until 72 hours after delivery (state rules). So she will be in a sort of foster care with us until she signs - which is now Monday - so the social worked doesn't have to drive in from Louisiana on Saturday.

We dropped Smantha at her home, then went with the social worker for MORE signing of documents. Then after...we had to find a place to stay. We dont want to stay at a hotel with Tatum, too hard with bottles and night feedings. So the first place we went to had a train running about 15 feet away and the pool looked like it  hadn't been treated since hurricane Katrina. NOPE. Brad didn't even want Tatum and me to get out of the car. Luckily we found another spot. 14th floor, beach front. BEAUTIFUL. Ahhhh, home. Set up camp, then silence. Tatum is out for the count and Brad and I are fried. We made it, she's here.
