Tatums Sealing

After 11 months the big day arrived! Tatum was sealed to us in the Mt. Timpanogos temple. I must say that there is nothing more incredible that being in the sealing room in all white and having your children brought in in all white to. It was all I could do to hold myself together and just let the tears stream out gracefully. It is just like heaven. What a blessing to have our family together not just for time but for all eternity and that all of our children have all the rights and privileges as if they were born in the covenant. My beautiful family. I love them so much!

Ticket

Oh course I did! It wouldn't be a road trip without one right? Cruising through Nevada I was on cruise control the whole time. Thought I was doing a good job. Then WHOOP WHOOP...ahhh crud. Gala gave the warning of death to the kids to keep quiet while I talked to the officer. Once again for the 10th time in my life I gave him my license and INSURANCE CARD. Duh, I never hand over my registration, even though the officers say it every time. So, I now have the privilege of a ticket from the great state of Nevada. Want to know what stinks????? According to the state law, those from out of state cannot attend traffic court. Well, that blows big time! So add $192 to the every increasing cost of this trip. Thanks Nevada!

Found out later from all those who travel from CA to UT....its a well known speed trap. Thanks for the heads up fam!

San Fransisco

One day of down time for the kids and then off on another adventure! This time San Fransisco. Tyler wanted China town, so that was where we started.

All of the kids were unsure about the local markets we peeked into. Dried fish, mushrooms, herbs, even a shark fin!! The smell chased us out of a few stores. I found a little front window vendor selling Chinese pastries. We got some filled with veggies, meats, fruit, and a donut. Even the very timid eaters (Jessie and Thea) tried something. The girls only tried the donuts and were not impressed. Just because it is covered in sugar does not guarantee tasty-ness! The were very raw on the inside. The meats were good. Veggies - boring. Fruits...they were the best. Probably because the fruit was more custard desert type. But we all tried it, it was interesting, different. We worked on that...saying its different, not gross, ugly, disgusting!

How can you resist anything this face requests? Tyler was having a rough time finding the right souvenir. He settled on designing a necklace with a Snake which is the year he was born.
